Experience about the Play

This period we were asked to do a play for the English week in the school, at first we wanted to do Aladdin but we realized it was very hard to do it so at the end we did Cinderella.

It wasn’t that hard to put together all the play because it was a easy story, at first Bella was supposed to be Cinderella, we rehearsed like 2 or 3 times, we choose our costumes and everything was ready.

I was in charge of the music and the backgrounds, I thought it was going to be difficult to find the backgrounds for the movie, but I found a webpage where there are a lot of movie backgrounds so it was just perfect, wit the music I had some problems because since we needed to cut the songs, so after I downloaded them I tried to cut them in a program I have in my macbook but I never understood how it works, so I used moviemaker, but my moviemaker was always shutting down so it was really stressing, but after 2 hours of trying it was all fine.

I also was in charge of the poster, for that I took some photos of the characters with their costumes, I remember it was a day we rehearsed so I arrived home like at 8 o clock, and for my bad luck, there was no internet on my house, so I spent 1 hour talking to telmex and at the end the guy told me that it was a system fail and that I wasn’t going to have internet for 72 hours, I was more than stressed because we needed the poster for the next day, so I ended using the backgrounds of the play for the poster, the good part of this is that I used the things I learned on computer class about photoshop to do the poster and at the end it ended really good.

So when we were supposed to be with every single detail ready Bella told me she was going to a trip to Guadalajara and she wasn’t going to be able to play the role of Cinderella, at that point I was more than stressed! So one day before the presentation of the play I told Grecia to rehearse the role of Cinderella on her house.

The day of the play Grecia told me in the morning that she didn’t rehearsed anything, so while she was putting on her costume on the bathroom Valeria was telling her everything she needed to do on the play, when we presented the play wasn’t as bad as I thought I would be J

At the end I think it was a good experience although it was reeeeaaaallyyyyy stressing, but at the end everything went fine and that’s what matters.

But right now I have another problem I was supposed to edit the video because no one in the classroom was able to do it and I was supposed to uploaded to youtube too, but the video is taking so long to upload, right now at this moment it says that there are 256 mins. left for the video to upload, so I think I’m not gonna make it, so the teacher must have a little consideration for me and give me another chance to upload the video.
